THE SHAPE OF DANCE TO COME is the first EP released as BIYDIY, the music production duo consisting of Stonie Blue & American Matthew. BIYDIY is an acronym for BELIEVE IN YOURSELF DO IT YOURSELF, sharing a name with the art organization and record label that houses the artists’ individual catalogs.

THE SHAPE OF DANCE TO COME is a four track collection of new dance records from BIYDIY which reflect the history of dance music (a genre created and nourished by Black musicians) while projecting the direction and “shape” it will take moving forward. The release of THE SHAPE marks the beginning of a new era in dance music as BIYDIY continues to blaze a trail of independent creativity and serves as an indicator (and trigger) for changes in dance music which must be carries out as continues to take shape in the next two decades.
